West Creek Falls, July 2000

The hike to West Creek Falls, while very short, was unexpectedly difficult.  Perhaps it was because it was only my second day at altitude, or perhaps it was the steepness of the trail.  In any event, I found it to be a strenuous hike and was quite happy at finally reaching the falls.

West Creek Falls is not spectacular by any means, but the hike was very satisfying.   I encountered exactly one other person on the entire trail (a ranger).  West Creek looked like a great candidate for some back country fishing, but I was armed with photo gear instead of my fly rod.

All pictures were shot on Fujichrome Velvia 50 film using a Nikon F3HP camera.   Nikon lenses are identified with the thumbnails.  Exposure by handheld Gossen Luna Pro SBC with variable angle attachment.
